In May 2018 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will replace the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC. As an SME you might be asking yourself…

  • Is GDPR going to mean the end of direct marketing?
  • Are fines imposed for all businesses?
  • Who does GDPR apply to, should all businesses be worried?
  • Does this mean a huge change in the way businesses look after their data?

GDPR is coming and with it, hype.

The RTC North Yorkshire team have teamed up with expert Nick Wayne to present a fact-based approach to GDPR for small and micro businesses. The workshop will highlight relevant parts of the new legislation, answers those burning questions, give you food for thought as to the implications for your business and point you in the right direction for further support.

Guest speaker, Nick Wayne, has been in marketing for a number of years and has run many agencies in the Leeds City Region. As an expert in both digital and direct marketing for small businesses and social enterprises, Nick will be sharing his knowledge of GDPR and how we can all comply to avoid those dreaded penalty fines.

This event is delivered by RTC North as part of the government backed Innovate2succeed programme which is jointly funded by Innovate UK and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The Innovate2suceed programme is fully-funded for SMEs with 250 or fewer staff and turnovers below £40 million, provides up to seven days of practical support.
